About the event
The Behavioral First Responder (BFR) is the first mental and behavioral healthcare certification for the outdoor industry. This training will provide techniques, tools, and resources for individuals working in an outdoor setting. The curriculum, borrowed from social work, and clinical mental health counseling is adapted to the field of Adventure Education, Camp Counseling, Wilderness Therapy, or Adventure Therapy. This course is essential for new and veteran practitioners hoping to serve students in the 21st century. This workshop is 3 days: Tuesday–Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Mountain Time) each day.
