My second day in Paris I spent taking myself on a walking tour of my neighborhood. Caleb and Liz, mine and Curt's friends who were living in Paris, let me stay at their place in downtown Paris. They had some obligations that day, so I went to walk aimlessly and see what I saw. I stumbled upon some pretty iconic places! The Louvre, the Royal Gardens, and some other old-looking odds and ends :)
And I went to see the Eiffel Tower. Its really big! My friend Liz and I "got engaged" there... because then I can say once I was proposed to at the Eiffel Tower.
Liz and Caleb did an AWESOME job tour guiding me around Paris. We had cappuccinos and flat whites and roses and beers and bread and stinky cheese and little sausages and saw churches and statues and Notre Dame and iconic book stores and walked dozens of miles....
And its just kept getting better and better! Curt made it! He finally arrived! And my luggage was delivered! We enjoyed a picnic-style dinner at the Seine River when he landed. We had wine out of plastic cups, bread, cheese, meats, blueberries, butter, and GREAT conversation. It was an amazing evening.
To cap off our experience in Paris, we spent the last drinking wine and witnessing the Eiffel Tower sparkle for the first time!
